If you are a business owner, you need to keep your employees safe from many things, including viruses. This is especially true with the COVID-19 virus as it can easily get inside your building. To prevent this, you can have your building disinfected in many ways, two of which are listed below.

Use Disinfectant Fogging

One way to disinfect your company is with disinfectant fogging. This is beneficial as the fog can get everywhere including small, tight places. It is important that you hire a professional to do this for you as it can be dangerous if you do not have the right equipment. The contractor will use chemicals with the fogger, such as hydrogen peroxide, quaternary ammonium, and more. How many foggers are used will depend on how large your business is.

When the contractor sets off the foggers, the chemicals rise into the air. All ventilation will be shut off to prevent the chemicals from getting out of the building. The fogger will stay on for a certain amount of time, which will depend on the type of fogger used.

After the allotted time, all windows and doors will be opened, and you and your employees will need to stay out of your building for a certain amount of time. Once you can go in, all surfaces must be wiped down to remove the chemicals before employees enter the building. The contractor that you hire will generally do this.

Things You Can Do

Once the fogging system is used, there are things you can do to help keep your building disinfected. Purchase cleaners made for this purpose. Clean all surfaces on a regular basis. Also, use a sanitizer that can help kill germs that are on surfaces. You could also use a disinfectant to kill viruses, bacteria, and fungi on all hard surfaces in your business.

The steps to take are to first clean the surface and then use the sanitizer or disinfectant. Follow the directions on these products in the correct way to use them. Wear gloves and a face mask to protect yourself from the chemicals. If you have a janitorial staff, make sure they are trained on how to use these products.

Talk with the contractor you hired for many more tips on keeping your building disinfected. They can give you information about cleaning and disinfecting products you can use and how to use them.
